When I first spotted this bird, I thought maybe it was a juvenile House Finch. I was so excited when I got home and figured out it was a Northern Pygmy Owl (Glaucidium gnoma)! It was tiny!

The first time I saw Eurasian Collared Doves in Solano County was around 2020. I saw this dove on the Green Valley Trail in 2022.
